In spite of centuries of unspeakable hurt and indignities inflicted upon them, the Mi'kmaq are still here, and they have survived with their indomitable spirit intact. They have taken the Government of Canada to Court to enforce the terms of their treaties - and they have won. This program shows how the terms of their treaties have always been sacred to the Mi'kmaq, but have always been used as instruments of greed by the dominant culture.
