Drawing upon archival footage and residents' memories, this video paints an intimate, bittersweet portrait of this once flourishing community. Britannia takes a tough look at how, more than a quarter century after the closure of the copper mine, the mine continues to empty up to a ton of heavy metals daily into the scenic waters of Howe Sound. The mine owners have declared bankruptcy, and no one seems willing to take responsibilty for the disaster. The video follows the drama as the townspeople seek help to clean up the toxic waste.

High School and up.
